I’m going to focus not on protesting, but on actually changing the country through finding, fielding, supporting, funding, volunteering for, and praying for good men and women who share my very American concerns. I am going to focus on my local government, making sure my local leaders live up to my expectations; likewise at the same at the state and federal level too.

Marshall Won't Join Health-Care Repeal Campaign

Congressman Jim Marshall voted against the health-care overhaul approved by Congress last weekend.

But the Macon Democrat says he won't be signing on with the campaign to repeal President Obama's health-care plan.

Through his spokesman, Marshall says neither the Obama plan nor the campaign to repeal it will do much to fix the nation's broken system for funding health care.

Through his spokesman, Doug Moore, Marshall released this statement Friday:

"Health care costs are not only bankrupting individuals, they are bankrupting America. Unfortunately this reform bill does not change that simple fact. Repeal of the bill won't change that fact either. We can greatly lower cost while improving access and maintaining or improving quality. That should be our focus. It will remain my focus."
